The green fronted café, with its grassed area in front, meticulously maintained by Leslie Clark, Joyce’s husband, had a special place in the hearts of many local people has now been demolished and replaced by the present café.
Our Café offers customers wonderful home cooked food throughout the day. We open at 8am with our breakfasts which are always popular with our regulars while the lunch menu features our famous hot roast joints of locally sourced beef, pork and turkey (at Christmas). The roasts along with all the traditional trimmings, come as both a full lunch or can be selected in our best selling hot sandwiches made with our home baked bread. We also offer a wide range of snacks, sandwiches and the full range selection of bakery products including a scrumptious selection of delicious fresh cream cakes.
